Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking Blood Collection Staff- Customer Service to join our Ohio teams in Marysville, Springfield, Dayton, and Urbana. You will support donors, help transport and set up equipment, and ensure safety procedures while collecting lifesaving donations.

Paid phlebotomy training is provided, with no prior medical experience required. A high school diploma, customer service skills, and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Take the time to personally connect with donors – listen to their stories and help them understand how impactful their donation is.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment so our volunteer donors feel comfortable coming back again and again.
• Be detailed oriented all day, every day to meet goals, regulatory requirements and safe transfusion standards.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setting up and tearing down equipment at donation sites.
