The American Red Cross is seeking an IRL Technologist to perform donor and patient testing, interpret results, and support hospitals and transfusion services. You will handle automated and manual test procedures, manage sample logistics, and maintain reagent inventories while ensuring quality and compliance.

A strong team orientation is essential. Required MT(ASCP), a biology/chemistry degree, and 3 years of related experience; state licensure may be necessary.

Qualifications

• MT(ASCP) certification required or equivalent certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or related field.
• At least 3 years of related donor testing experience.
• State license may be required where applicable.

Responsabilités

• Resolving compatibility problems and providing complex reference services to hospitals.
• Performing automated and manual test procedures on blood samples.
• Managing receipt, coordination, shipment, and transport of samples and documenting issues.
• Managing reagent inventory and quality checks.
• Recognizing testing irregularities and assisting other technologists.
• Consulting with other medical facilities to resolve complex serologic problems.
