Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking an IRL Technologist to perform donor and patient testing, interpret results for donor-recipient compatibility, and support hospitals and transfusion services with problem resolution.

The role requires a BS in Biological Science or Chemistry with MT(ASCP)/BB(ASCP) or equivalent, CA licensure, and 4 years of related experience. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, with opportunities for leadership and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Science or Chemistry is required.
• CA state licensure is required to practice.
• Minimum 4 years of related experience or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Consult with medical staff to resolve complex serologic problems.
• Manage receipt, handling, and transport of donor and patient samples.
• Perform and interpret donor/patient testing; ensure quality control.
• Maintain records and assist in problem resolution and training.
• Perform equipment maintenance and participate in concern management.
