The American Red Cross in the United States is seeking an IRL Technologist to perform donor and patient tests, interpret results, and determine donor-recipient compatibility. You will resolve compatibility issues and provide reference services to hospitals and transfusion services.

This role requires MT(ASCP) certification or equivalent, a Bachelor's in biological sciences or chemistry, and 3+ years of related experience.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or chemistry.
• MT(ASCP) certification preferred; MLT(ASCP) can substitute with experience.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent education/experience.

Responsabilidades

• Resolve compatibility problems and provide complex reference services to hospitals.
• Perform automated and manual test procedures on blood samples.
• Manage receipt, coordination, shipment and documentation for blood samples.
• Maintain reagent inventory, including ordering and inspection.
• Identify testing irregularities and assist other technologists in resolution.
• Consult with remote facilities to resolve serologic issues.
