Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories in Mesa, Arizona, seeks an Operations Supervisor for Blood Services - BDMC. This role directs staff, coordinates workflow, and drives high-quality, cost-efficient service delivery.

The candidate will hire, train, and evaluate personnel, manage schedules within budget, and uphold CAP, CMS, AABB, FDA, CLIA, and OSHA standards. Leadership and Lean/Six Sigma experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
• Four (4) years' training and experience in high-complexity testing in the respective specialty.
• MLS or Specialty Certification preferred; Bachelor's in Medical Laboratory Science noted; supervisory experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, and conducts performance evaluations; supervises staff workflow.
• Schedules and manages labor and resources within budget; supports cost reduction.
• Ensures accreditation and licensing compliance (CAP, CMS, AABB, FDA, CLIA) and OSHA standards.
• Leads task forces to improve service quality, compliance, and efficiency.
• Facilitates timely information dissemination within the organization and with parent partners.
