Job summary

Nemours is seeking a Supervisor, Laboratory Operations (Blood Bank) to join our team in Wilmington, Delaware. The role supports the Laboratory Manager with day-to-day blood bank operations, staff supervision, and service excellence.

You will collaborate with the Medical Director, clinical staff, reference labs and other partners to optimize Blood Banking while maintaining accreditation. You will oversee training, competency evaluation, scheduling, and staffing to ensure timely, accurate testing

Qualifications

• B.S. in Medical Technology or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a supervisor or team lead.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
• Certification as MLS eligible; must obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist Laboratory Manager with day-to-day operations and HR management.
• Coach and mentor technical staff; set goals and service standards.
• Ensure SOP compliance and regulatory readiness; review QC and reports.
• Participate in recruiting, scheduling, and staff training activities.
• Maintain safety procedures and training; ensure regulatory inspections readiness.
