Nemours seeks a Supervisor, Laboratory Operations (Blood Bank) to join the team in Wilmington, Delaware. The role oversees day-to-day blood bank operations, staff development and collaboration with the Medical Director and care teams, with a focus on accreditation and quality.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Medical Technology or equivalent (HHS/CLIA qualifications acceptable).
• Minimum 3 years of supervisor or team-lead experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Medical Laboratory Scientist experience.
• Nationally/internationally recognized MLS certification (ASCP, AAB, AMT) eligible; must obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Assist Laboratory Manager with day-to-day Blood Bank operations and related HR and customer service areas.
• Develop and coach staff; set goals, tasks and service standards to maintain morale and motivation.
• Coordinate bench work and ensure SOP-compliant testing with accuracy and timeliness.
• Review test performance, QC charts, proficiency testing and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Participate in recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of section staff.
• Schedule staff coverage to maintain uninterrupted laboratory services and manage overtime where possible.
