Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience.
• ASCP or AMT certification required.
• Working knowledge of Clinical Laboratory Science.
• Thorough knowledge Blood Bank operations.
• Ability to interact with other departments in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily operations at the blood bank, checks expenses, performs inspections and coordinates third party services.
• Manages training of personnel testing.
• Oversees staff daily tasks and enforces Blood Bank policies and regulations.
• Directs performance evaluations and maintains files and records.
• Provides technical expertise to analyze current methods and develop improvements.
• Ensures calibration and maintenance of equipment and documentation.
• Acts as liaison to hospital staff for timely information.
