Job summary

Integrated Resources, Inc. is seeking an experienced Blood Bank Manager to lead and oversee 24-hour Blood Bank operations in a large acute care hospital in New York.

The role requires 4+ years of managerial experience and a NYS CLT license, with ASCP certification highly preferred. The position involves supervising 2 Blood Bank Supervisors, 12–15 Technologists, and 2 Lab Assistants, ensuring regulatory compliance and optimal blood product management.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of managerial experience in a large acute care hospital.
• Current NYS CLT License.
• ASCP Certification.
• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or Allied Sciences.
• Master's Degree preferred; minimum 2 years of pertinent laboratory experience after NYS License.
• Must currently be working in a Blood Bank.
• Extensive Blood Bank operations and regulatory compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily administrative and technical operations of the Blood Bank.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, workload distribution, performance, training and evaluations.
• Maintain adequate blood product inventory and ensure availability.
• Develop, implement and maintain policies to ensure NYS/CAP/AABB/FDA compliance.
• Oversee quality assurance and CQI activities and resolve complex transfusion cases.
• Coordinate quarterly Blood Utilization Committee meetings and reporting.
