Job summary

Advocate Health’s Blood Bank laboratory in Charlotte, NC seeks a full-time Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform testing and ensure QA compliance on a 7p-7a schedule. Eligible for a sign-on bonus based on qualifications and eligibility.

Responsibilities include preparing reagents, inventory management, and adhering to CAP/TJC/OSHA standards while maintaining clear communications with leadership and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MT/MLS or equivalent registry eligible.
• MT (ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) or equivalent required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Follow testing procedures and QA guidelines for equipment and work area.
• Prepare reagents and manage test inventory to reduce waste.
• Exercise clinical judgment to prioritize and troubleshoot test systems.
• Assist with procedures/documentation to meet accreditation requirements (CAP, TJC, OSHA).
• Maintain clear shift-to-shift communications with leadership.
