Job summary

Atrium Health is hiring for a Blood Bank position in the Carolinas Medical Center - Lab. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week with a 7p-7a schedule and a sign-on bonus eligibility based on eligibility.

Responsibilities include following testing procedures, maintaining supplies, and ensuring compliance with CAP, TJC, OSHA requirements. Requires a Bachelor's degree and MT/MLS registry eligibility within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• MT (ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) or equivalent registry eligible within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency and follows testing procedures and quality assurance guidelines.
• Prepares reagents and maintains materials inventory to reduce waste/expense.
• Exercises clinical judgment to prioritize and troubleshoot test systems with appropriate departments.
• Reviews and updates procedures to meet accreditation standards (CAP, TJC, OSHA).
• Maintains clear shift-to-shift communications with leadership about issues affecting patient care.
