Job summary

Advocate Health’s Carolinas Medical Center Laboratory is hiring for a Full-time Lab: Chemistry position on the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.). The role carries a sign-on bonus eligibility and requires a Bachelor’s degree with MT/MLS or registry eligibility within a year of hire.

Work involves testing, QA adherence, and inventory control in a fast-paced clinical setting. Responsibilities include reagent prep, equipment troubleshooting, and maintaining compliance with CAP, TJC and OSHA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MT/MLS or equivalent registry eligible within one year of hire.
• Demonstrates proficiency and follows testing procedures per QA guidelines.
• Maintains inventory and documentation to control costs and waste.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reagents and maintain supplies for test procedures.
• Adhere to testing procedures and QA guidelines; document corrective actions.
• Exercise clinical judgment to prioritize tasks and troubleshoot systems.
• Ensure procedures and documentation meet CAP, TJC, OSHA accreditation standards.
• Maintain clear shift-to-shift communication with leadership about issues affecting patient care.
