Job summary

San Diego Blood Bank is seeking a Hospital Services Representative to coordinate the daily distribution of blood and blood components, transport them between hospitals and satellite centers, and assist with inventory management under the Hospital Services department.

Under supervision, you will be a primary hospital contact, ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA, and DOT guidelines, and maintain accurate shipment documentation and secure handling in a temperature‑controlled environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid California Class C driver's license.
• Experience with MS Office preferred.
• Customer service experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive and fill hospital orders for blood and blood components.
• Direct route drivers and couriers for logistical support.
• Ensure timely communication with hospital labs about critical needs.
• Coordinate interdepartmental mail and transport of equipment and documents.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety regulations.
• Maintain compliant documentation and quality procedures.
• Handle security and incident reports per SOPs.
