Job summary

San Diego Blood Bank is seeking a Hospital Services Representative in San Diego, CA. The role coordinates daily distribution of blood and components, manages inventory, and directs route drivers to hospitals and satellite centers.

Must adhere to GMP and safety standards and maintain excellent communication with hospital labs. The position reports to Hospital Services and requires a High School Diploma or GED and a California Driver’s License.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid California Class C Driver’s License required.
• MS Office knowledge preferred; experience with Outlook/Word/Excel is a plus.
• Customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive and fill orders for blood and blood components from hospitals.
• Direct the activities of route drivers, couriers and other staff for logistical support.
• Ensure timely communication with hospital and laboratory staff regarding blood products.
• Maintain inventory and ensure proper handling and transport of blood components.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety and regulatory standards during deliveries.
