NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is seeking a Laboratory Technologist - Blood Bank for a part-time, day shift in Clinical Labs. Under general supervision, you will perform various blood bank tests, analyze results, and ensure accuracy to support patient care.

The role requires a BS in Medical Technology or related field with supervised clinical lab experience, NYS licensure or eligibility, and strong organizational and communication skills to work effectively in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Medical Technology including clinical internship or related discipline with one year supervised clinical lab experience.
• NYS Education Department Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or Eligible.
• Analytical skills necessary to analyze data and perform calculations.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Performs supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical laboratory tests in Blood Bank under supervision.
• Analyzes and interprets test results; notifies appropriate personnel.
• Repeats tests as necessary and ensures accuracy.
• Performs basic troubleshooting and maintains instrument performance.
• Monitors quality control and documents actions.
