Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is seeking a Section Supervisor for the laboratory to oversee operations, ensure procedures are correctly performed, recorded and reported with emphasis on service quality.

The role requires ensuring compliance with CAP, CLIA, FDA, OSHA, AABB standards and leading personnel evaluations while fostering a safety culture and reliable teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• MLS (Medical Laboratory Scientist) or MLT (Medical Laboratory Technician) or Technologist in Hematology or State MLT certification required.
• No Travel Required

Responsibilities

• Lead the section of the laboratory to ensure procedures are performed, controlled, recorded and reported with excellent customer service.
• Uphold CAP, CLIA, FDA, OSHA, AABB standards and other regulatory requirements for the section.
• Evaluate personnel using job descriptions and evaluations developed for staff.
• Foster a safety culture and manage personnel performance and development.
• Oversee HR, financial and resource management to meet targets and ensure availability of staff.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Section Supervisor leads the section of the laboratory for which he is responsible to see that all procedures are performed, controlled, recorded, and reported properly with excellent customer service skills. This individual will ensure the lab upholds CAP, CLIA, FDA, OSHA, AABB standards, and any other pertinent regulatory requirements for their section as they foster a safety culture. As needed they will evaluate personnel utilizing job descriptions and evaluations developed for those personnel.
