Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in medical technology, medical laboratory science, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical or biological science.

Responsibilities

• Performs, develops and interprets routine and/or specialized laboratory testing independently within established time frames.
• Performs, analyzes and records quality control and instrument maintenance/troubleshooting; escalates when results are out of control and documents corrective actions.
• Adheres to regulatory compliance and accreditation standards; follows safety guidelines and proficiency testing protocols.
• Participates in performance improvement by data collection/analysis and supports cost reduction initiatives by managing supplies and reagents.
• Adapts communication style to patient population; respects privacy and explains procedures clearly.
• Other related duties as required.
