Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking personnel to oversee mix room operations, following schedules and formulas to plan batching and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities include collecting QA samples, maintaining sanitation, and reporting any safety or quality issues to management in a timely manner. High school diploma or equivalent is required, and general production experience is preferred.

Job description

General Purpose

Oversee the operation of mix rooms by working from schedules and formulas to utilize production's schedule to plan the sequence of mix needed to flow from tanks.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect required samples needed for Quality Assurance testing
• Exercise care and follow all sanitary process procedures associated with the pumping of mix
• Maintain working knowledge related to ingredient mix for batching purposes
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Production or general work experience preferred

• Must be able to read, write and speak English
