Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. seeks a candidate to oversee mix room operations, planning mix sequences from schedules and formulas. You will collect QA samples and ensure sanitary process procedures are followed to pump mix from tanks.

The role requires maintaining knowledge of ingredient blending, reporting safety or quality issues promptly, and adhering to all GMPs and health, safety, and sanitation regulations across the plant.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of mix rooms by working from schedules and formulas to utilize production's schedule to plan the sequence of mix needed to flow from tanks.
• Collect required samples needed for Quality Assurance testing
• Exercise care and follow all sanitary process procedures associated with the pumping of mix
• Maintain working knowledge related to ingredient mix for batching purposes
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
