Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is seeking a Training Specialist to design, deliver, and evaluate blended learning programs for new hires and existing staff. You will manage the training environment, ensure policy compliance, and evaluate learner outcomes using diverse testing methods.

You will partner with SMEs and training peers to develop high-quality instructional materials, coordinate training plans, and maintain training systems access to support ongoing program effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in a related field or 4 years related work experience or Associate's with 2 years related work experience.
• 1 year training, insurance, and/or related work experience required.
• Strong verbal and written communication and human relations skills.
• Ability to design and develop outputs in various methods.
• Strong organizational skills to schedule, prioritize, and complete work assignments.
• Ability to become a SME for multiple lines of business and job functions.
• Understand the complex technical environment of the organization.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and learning development methodologies.
• Ability to deliver training classes to 1 to 50+ individuals.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates varying levels of technical and non-technical training for new hires and existing staff.
• Manages the training environment to ensure compliance with policies.
• Delivers orientation, job-specific, and e-learning training solutions.
• Evaluates learner performance through varied testing methods.
• Collaborates with SMEs and trainer peers to create high-quality materials.
• Maintains training systems access and performs administrative duties.
