Job summary

The Heron Institute Learning Lab (HILL) in Columbia, SC seeks a Blended Learning Manager to oversee operations, programming, and student engagement for the region in an in-person role. The position requires strong leadership, program development, and cross‑functional collaboration with local schools and community partners.

This exempt, full-time role includes supervision of staff, budget oversight, and travel across the state.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 3+ years in program management or educational administration or similar leadership role.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Experience supervising staff and leading teams in educational or nonprofit settings.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and community stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and scheduling systems.
• Ability to travel frequently across the state.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations, programming, and overall success of the learning lab and microschools.
• Supervise Learning Lab Advisors and manage performance.
• Develop policies and best practices for efficient center operations.
• Plan onsite programming with educators, students, and partners.
• Coordinate off-site student outings ensuring safety and value.
• Monitor student engagement and drive blended learning improvements.
