Job summary

Georgia-Pacific at Leaf River Cellulose Mill in New Augusta, MS seeks a Reliability Engineer EDP to drive asset strategy, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements across the pulp dryer department. You will work with the reliability leader to develop and execute plans that improve uptime, safety, and environmental performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Eligible for full-time employment by January 2027.
• Experience with reliability improvement tools to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Experience with Microsoft systems and data analysis.
• Basic understanding of lubrication and vibration analysis.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute reliability plans to support mill vision.
• Support safety culture and Environmental, Health & Safety excellence.
• Assist lubrication and vibration technicians in program execution.
• Analyze equipment costs and identify gaps with data-driven analysis.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering to vet improvements.
• Monitor outage planning and contribute to outage execution.
• Monitor reliability performance and create reports and scorecards.
• Engage with RCA and FMEA processes to drive improvements.
