Job summary

Duininck in Texas projects is seeking a seasonal, full-time blade operator to support asphalt and road construction. You will operate heavy blade equipment, read grade stakes, and work with GPS/laser systems on outdoor sites.

Expect travel across Texas and overtime during peak seasons. You will join a safety-focused team providing essential infrastructure work for military runways, DOT roads, and aviation facilities, with a comprehensive benefits package including health plans, PTO, per diem,

Responsibilities

• Safely operates blade to achieve specified grading.
• Reads grade stakes and maintains grade using GPS/laser.
• Coordinates with crew using hand signals to ensure safety.
• Inspects and maintains equipment daily, reports issues.
• Prepares equipment for transport and keeps jobsite clean.
• Follows supervisor instructions closely.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operates blade to achieve the specified grading.
• Reads grade stakes and works with grade checker, laser, or GPS to maintain grade.
• Works closely with other crew members using hand signals to coordinate work and ensure safety.
• Performs daily inspection and maintenance and ensures that machine is in safe, proper working order including fluid checks and proper lubrication.
• Reports to shop when equipment needs maintenance and repair.
• Keeps equipment clean and prepares equipment for transport on flatbed when needed.
• Maintains orderliness, cleanliness and safety at jobsite.
• Follows Supervisor’s instructions closely.

• Understand and adhere to the Personal Protection Equipment requirements.

• Willingness to travel throughout Texas.

Work Environment | Physical Demands

• Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch and sit.
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
• Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly work extended | overtime hours, outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions at all project locations.
