Job summary

Stellantis Motorsport in Auburn Hills, MI seeks a Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer - BIW Feasibility to lead BIW manufacturing activities for new model programs, interfacing with product engineering and manufacturing simulations to drive issues to closure.

You will develop Design to Manufacturing proposals to optimize Capex, support plant loading, and ensure feasibility studies are executed in the plant environment; travel to assembly plants may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience and knowledge of plant operations.
• CAD skills required to navigate vehicle trees and tooling.
• Strong knowledge of GA manufacturing processes and tooling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with MS PowerPoint and Excel.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• DFMA knowledge and ability to work under time pressure.
• Ability to collaborate with all management levels and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform BIW manufacturing activities for new model and mid-cycle programs.
• Provide input to manufacturing simulation engineers and communicate issues to Product Engineering.
• Propose alternative solutions and drive issues to closure.
• Develop Design to Manufacturing proposals to optimize Capex.
• Support Plant Loading studies and develop vertical integration for Make/Buy alignment.
• Create detailed Process Maps with Pre-Scroll and ensure feasibility studies in the plant environment.
• Lead Change Management meetings to align processes and tooling.
• Develop high-visibility weekly updates to Stellantis management; travel to plants as needed.
