Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking an experienced BIW Design Engineer in Auburn Hills, MI to support CAD model development, release, and maintenance for body-in-white structures. Focus areas include Body Side Outer/Structure, Front Structure, and Underbody components with emphasis on manufacturability and engineering standards.

The role involves design updates, new part development, supplier coordination, and data exchange across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering and automotive BIW assignments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop CAD models to support updates and changes to existing parts/assemblies for manufacturing feasibility, performance improvements, and interface changes.
• Design new parts/assemblies addressing vehicle performance, manufacturing feasibility, and system integration.
• Conduct engineering studies as required.
• Coordinate with offshore teams for design development and data exchange.
• Release CAD data in the KVS system.
