Job summary

StepStone Hospitality is seeking a guest-focused server for our hotel restaurant. In this role you will take and place orders with the kitchen, interact professionally with guests, and ensure accurate, timely service of food and beverages.

You will answer questions on menu items and cooking methods, assist with payments, and help maintain a clean dining area. Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent and 1+ years in food services.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years of experience in food services is highly desirable.
• Ability to obtain food handling and alcohol beverage serving certifications.

Responsibilities

• Take and place food orders with the kitchen accurately and quickly while engaging guests professionally.
• Answer guest questions about cooking methods, menu items, specials and processes.
• Prepare and deliver beverages and desserts.
• Check appearance, temperature and portions before delivering food.
• Prepare guest checks and handle payments according to policy.
• Support bussing and cleaning of dining areas as needed.
• Follow management directions and brand standards.
