Job summary

S and G stores' Bistro Associate role supports front counter operations and the in-store food program. You will greet guests, help with purchases, and prepare bistro items so they meet quality standards.

You'll also keep the sales floor stocked, rotate stock, and ensure sanitation and safety across coolers, prep areas, and stockrooms. The job requires flexibility for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Willingness to obtain Level 1 ServSafe certification after hire.
• Background in fast-paced customer service or retail preferred.
• Open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong verbal communication and a calm, professional demeanor under pressure.
• Comfortable with basic arithmetic and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist with questions or concerns.
• Cook and assemble bistro items per recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Check dates and rotate stock to avoid waste.
• Operate the register, handle cash/card payments, and reconcile at shift end.
• Restock coolers, freezers, and shelves to keep displays full and neat.
• Log temperatures and storage conditions following sanitation rules.
• Complete shift records such as safety counts and updates.
• Unload and check in vendor deliveries and organize stockroom.
• Maintain clean and safe sales floor, restrooms, and exterior areas.
