Job summary

MHG Hotels LLC seeks a passionate Bistro Cook in West Palm Beach to help deliver a seasonally inspired menu and warm guest interactions. You will greet guests, provide attentive service, and communicate clearly to maintain high standards.

Responsibilities include preparing for the day and upcoming days, setting up for shifts, coordinating with the manager on inventory, processing payments, and keeping the Bistro and kitchen clean and safe.

Job description

As a Bistro Cook, you take pride in offering our guests a seasonally inspired drink and food menu, a warm conversation and maybe a story or two. Your engaging personality will ensure our guests look forward to relaxing with you before or after a long day.

As a Bistro Cook, you will:

• Welcome guests with genuine care
• Deliver highly attentive service
• Engage in polite conversation as time allows
• Be fully informed of the Bistro menu
• Prepare the food for the same day as well as upcoming days
• Set up Bistro for the shift you are working (AM/PM)
• Look over inventory and communicate orders with primary manager
• Cook food
• Serve food and drinks
• Set up and maintain cleanliness of Bistro and kitchen
• Process all payment methods
• Follow the company policies for dropping cash, open and closing the cashier
• Clean up after your shift and prepare for the next shift
• Maintain clean safe environment both in Bistro and in kitchen
• Ensure the Bistro and its equipment are clean and fully functional
• Occasionally diffuse difficult situations
• Comply will all liquor laws

To be a successful Bistro cook this role requires a professional demeanor, a warm and welcoming personality, and ability to engage easily and actively connect with others is required. Must be genuinely caring, compassionate, and comfortable conversing with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and at all organizational levels. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

The Bistro cook, this role requires standing for long periods of time, or entire shift. Professional appearance and clean uniform. Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than 30 pounds without assistance.
