Job summary

Atria Senior Living is hiring a Bistro Attendant in Massachusetts to support our residents in a Bistro-style setting. You will set and clear tables, take orders, and serve meals in a timely, professional manner.

Qualifications include 1+ year of customer service, basic Word/Excel, and POS familiarity. You will contribute to a clean, organized dining area and interact with residents and guests daily.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills including Word and Excel.
• TIPS or other alcohol service training.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Must be able to carry a tray with at least 6 meals/beverages.
• Must be able to serve up to 20 residents/guests during service.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate superior customer service to ensure guests are satisfied with their meal experience.
• Use the Point of Sale system to process orders and payments.
• Open and close the Point of Sale system at the start and end of each shift.
• Prepare meals from the menu and promote food items and coffee drinks.
• Keep grab-and-go stocked and rotate backups for grab-and-go items.
• Determine Panini specials for the day with help from the chef.
• Maintain a welcoming attitude toward diners and their families.
• Keep the Bistro clean and orderly and maintain temperature logs and par stock lists.
• May perform other duties as needed.

The Bistro Attendant hosts and prepares our residents’ meals in a bistro-style restaurant. This individual is responsible for setting and clearing tables, taking resident food and beverage orders, serving residents in a timely professional manner, and all other aspects of bistro operations.

• Demonstrate superior customer service to ensure that guests are satisfied with their meal experience.
• Correctly use the Point of Sale system to process all orders and payments.
• Correctly open and close the Point of Sale system at the start and finish of each shift.
• Prepare meals from the menu and promote food items and coffee drinks.
• Ensure that the grab and go is always stocked and that back up for the grab and go is made and rotated.
• Determine Panini specials for the day with help from the chef.
• Display a welcoming and outgoing attitude toward all diners, residents, their families, and potential residents.
• Ensure the Bistro remains clean and orderly.
• Maintain temperature logs and par stock lists on a daily basis.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
