Job summary

Atria Senior Living - East Northport is seeking a Bistro Attendant to host and prepare meals in a welcoming, bistro-style setting. You will take orders, serve residents, and ensure accurate POS processing while maintaining a clean, organized dining area.

The role requires 1+ year of customer service, basic computer skills, and attention to meal service details. Opportunities for advancement and a comprehensive benefits package accompany the position.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service experience.

• TIPS or other alcohol service training.

• Ability to carry a tray with multiple meals/beverages.
• Ability to serve up to 20 residents/guests during meals.

Responsibilities

• Host and prepare residents’ meals in a bistro-style setting.
• Set and clear tables; take orders; serve meals in a timely, professional manner.
• Operate the POS system accurately for orders and payments.
• Open and close the POS system at shift start/end.
• Maintain grab-and-go stock and rotate backups.
• Determine Panini specials with chef input.
• Maintain welcoming attitude toward all diners and families.
• Keep the Bistro clean and orderly; monitor temperature logs and stock.

• Must be able to carry a tray with at least six (6) meals and/or beverages at any given time.
• Must be able to serve up to twenty (20) residents and guests throughout the meal period.

Responsibilities

The Bistro Attendant hosts and prepares our residents’ meals in a bistro-style restaurant. This individual is responsible for setting and clearing tables, taking resident food and beverage orders, serving residents in a timely professional manner, and all other aspects of bistro operations.

• Demonstrate superior customer service to ensure that guests are satisfied with their meal experience.
• Correctly use the Point of Sale system to process all orders and payments.
• Correctly open and close the Point of Sale system at the start and finish of each shift.
• Prepare meals from the menu and promote food items and coffee drinks.
• Ensure that the grab and go is always stocked and that back up for the grab and go is made and rotated.
• Determine Panini specials for the day with help from the chef.
• Display a welcoming and outgoing attitude toward all diners, residents, their families, and potential residents.
• Ensure the Bistro remains clean and orderly.
• Maintain temperature logs and par stock lists on a daily basis.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Salary Range

The wage range for this position is $17.00/hr - $20.40/hr, dependent on prior work history and experience
