Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Nursing Station Technician for the Birthplace Unit at Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN. This role blends NA/CNA duties with Health Unit Coordinator responsibilities, supporting a postpartum and labor & delivery setting with a high patient volume.

The 0.75 FTE position includes 12-hour night shifts with every third weekend rotation and a variable weekday schedule. Join a collaborative team focused on patient and family-centered care.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• OnTrack Nursing Assistant training or Fairview nursing assistant program preferred.
• Six months of direct care experience in long-term, home, or acute care settings may be substituted as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under nursing supervision, including vitals, bathing, feeding, and hygiene.
• Assist with transportation, environmental care, and unit communications.
• Maintain patient records, document care provided, and report changes to nursing staff.
• Support admissions, transfers, and discharges; assist with courier and escort services as needed.
• Coordinate tests and procedures and communicate needs to other departments.
• Maintain unit cleanliness, restock supplies, and manage central desk operations.
