Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a Birthplace Patient Care Technician (PCT) for part-time, 12-hour day shifts. The role supports patient care in the Birthplace, including breastfeeding assistance, infant bathing, setting up for deliveries, and OR scrubbing with sterile technique.

You’ll prepare charts, ensure rooms are ready, and stock supplies to support the team. Requirements include completion of at least the first semester of an accredited nursing program or a medical assistant/PCT program,

Qualifications

• Completed first semester in an accredited nursing program.
• Completed or currently enrolled in a medical assistant or patient care technician program.
• An active certification (CMA, MA, CMA-RMA, CNA, EMT or PCT) may substitute for education.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implements care plans with interdisciplinary team to promote health outcomes.
• Communicates pertinent patient data to staff in a timely manner.
• Maintains infection prevention and standard precautions.
• Assists with activities of daily living and vital signs documentation.
• Supports bedside care and collaborates with nursing staff.
