Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent preferred
• Previous hospital experience or knowledge of medical terminology required
• Student enrolled in active healthcare program preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and healthcare databases preferred
• Ability to use advanced features of EMR and OnBase which are beyond the abilities of “normal” users required

Responsibilities

• Maintains clerical organization within the department.
• Ensures accurate and timely order entry and maintenance of reports and patient chart forms.
• Processes orders for tests and procedures during downtime.
• Updates patient information in EMR and other systems.
• Greets visitors and directs ancillary staff for patient pickup.
• Provides first-line support for workflow education and troubleshooting, even during non-activation times.
