Job summary

UCI Health in Orange County is seeking a Unit Service Coordinator to coordinate clerical support within a nursing unit, including reception duties, data collection, and medical records preparation. You will assist with patient admission and discharge processes and perform related clerical tasks as needed.

The role requires prior medical setting experience, ability to work variable shifts (nights, weekends, holidays), and a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Prior work administrative/clerical experience, preferably in a medical setting.
• Must be able to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Current BLS certification upon hire (must be issued by the AHA).
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• The Unit Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and performing a broad range of clerical support functions in the nursing unit.
• Specific duties include performing reception functions, collecting and compiling patient data, assembling medical records, and assisting with patient admission/discharge.
• Performs routine patient care functions as needed and will perform other related duties as required.
