Job summary

UnityPoint Health, Madison, WI, is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator for the Birthing Center. The role serves as the primary receptionist, coordinating communication among nursing staff, physicians and families, and assists in interpretation, transcription and implementation of orders for patient care.

Responsibilities include maintaining unit supplies, coordinating equipment maintenance and supporting a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Notary Public may be obtained after hire.
• Be available the first week of employment for CNA orientation (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM).

Responsibilities

• Interpretation, transcription and assistance in order implementation for patient care.
• Serve as the primary receptionist for the nursing unit and coordinate communication among staff, physicians and families.
• Maintain adequate supplies for the nursing unit and request service for maintenance of equipment.
