Job summary

UnityPoint Health, Madison, WI, is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator for the Birthing Center. The role serves as the primary receptionist, coordinating communication among nursing staff, physicians and families, and assists in interpretation, transcription and implementation of orders for patient care.

Responsibilities include maintaining unit supplies, coordinating equipment maintenance and supporting a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Notary Public may be obtained after hire.
• Be available the first week of employment for CNA orientation (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM).

16086BR FTE: 0.5 Shift: Monday-Friday: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM with every other weekend and holiday rotation Compensation: $18.32+ Hours Per Week: 20 Weekends: Some Benefit Eligible Shift: Monday-Friday: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM with every other weekend and holiday rotation The primary function of the Health Unit Coordinator - Birthing Center is interpretation, transcription and assistance in the implementation of orders for all aspects of patient care. The Health Unit Coordinator serves as the primary receptionist for the nursing unit and coordinates communication among nursing staff, physicians, other departments, professional staff, patients and families. In addition, the Health Unit Coordinator maintains adequate supplies for the nursing unit and may request service for the maintenance of unit equipment. At UnityPoint Health, you matter.
