Job summary

Atlantic Health in New Jersey is seeking a Birth Certificate Clerk to gather data, enter it into the VERI, obtain parental review and signatures, and ensure confidentiality at all times.

You will educate parents about birth certificates and DOH timelines, maintain data integrity by printing and emailing records, keeping logs, and coordinating with clinical staff to secure physician certification and timely releases. A High School diploma is required; Veri and DOH experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Vital Statistic experience preferred.
• Preferred Veri and DOH experience.

Responsibilities

• Gathers necessary data for birth certificate forms and enters into VERI.
• Obtains parental review and signatures per DOH guidelines.
• Maintains data integrity: prints, scans, emails, and updates records as needed.
• Verifies data entry of births and fetal deaths; maintains logs of births by date.
• Ensures physician certification for live births and timely issuance of certificates.
