Job summary
Northwestern Medicine seeks a Registered Nurse - Labor-Delivery-Postpartum to deliver high-quality inpatient care, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
The role requires a BSN, Illinois RN license, and BLS certification. ADN is acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years. Strong teamwork and communication are essential in this postpartal setting.
Qualifications
- BSN required and IL RN license.
- BLS certification required.
- ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within three years.
Responsibilities
- Performs comprehensive patient assessments across age groups.
- Develops and updates nursing care plans with input from the interdisciplinary team.
- Administers medications and treatments safely per standards of care.
- Coordinates discharge planning and patient education.
- Communicates patient status changes to the care team.
- Ensures documentation reflects patient responses and outcomes.
