Arkansas State University’s Department of Biological Sciences invites applications for a full-time Temporary Instructor to teach undergraduate and graduate biotechnology and molecular biology courses at the ASU-Jonesboro campus for the Spring 2027 term.

The successful candidate will deliver lecture and lab instruction, mentor students, and contribute to the program’s growth, leveraging a well-equipped biotechnology teaching laboratory and access to core instrumentation within the Arkansas

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Biology, or a closely related field.
Experience teaching laboratory-based biotechnology or molecular biology courses is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to teach at undergraduate and/or graduate levels.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver engaging undergraduate and graduate-level instruction.
Provide hands-on laboratory instruction and demonstrate current molecular and biotechnology techniques.
Integrate real-world applications, current research, and industry practices into coursework.
Teach and assess student learning through assignments, laboratory activities, projects, examinations, and other appropriate methods.
Mentor students and support their professional biotechnology skill development.
