Job summary

Biopharma Careers is offering a 10–12 week internship in our Vaccines and Advanced Biotechnologies Process R&D division. Under a project mentor, you will benchwork to execute, optimize, and troubleshoot downstream process unit operations and basic analytical techniques while contributing to scale-up and technology transfer efforts.

You will develop new principles and methods to maximize purification bioprocess understanding, with opportunities to present results in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in BS/BA in Chemical/Biomedical/Biological Engineering, Bioengineering, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology or closely related field.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks, and maintain accurate records.
• Hands-on laboratory experience and good written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct benchwork to execute, optimize, and troubleshoot downstream process unit operations and basic analytical techniques.
• Design, execute, and analyze process development experiments to maximize understanding of purification bioprocesses.
• Support scale-up to pilot scale and technology transfer to manufacturing scale.
• Prepare and present experimental results in team settings.
• Assist with GMP campaign preparation, execution, and closeout as needed.
