Job summary

Precision BioTools is seeking a Director of Business Development & Marketing to drive commercial growth and brand strategy in a fast-paced biotech startup. You will bridge deep science with strategic deal-making, building pharma and academic partnerships, negotiating terms, and leading cross-functional teams while wearing multiple hats in a lean environment.

Ideal candidates have a strong record in licensing or BD within life sciences, advanced degree in molecular biology or related field, and

Qualifications

Master’s or PhD in Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology, or related field.
5+ years in business development or licensing in life sciences or biotech.
Startup experience in a biotech setting and ability to wear multiple hats.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with C-suite executives and investors.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end business development cycles from prospecting to term sheet negotiation and deal closure.
Build and nurture strategic relationships with pharmaceutical, biotech, and academic partners.
Translate proprietary technologies into compelling commercial value propositions for clients and collaborators.
Manage partner pipelines and represent the company at conferences and partnering events.
