Job summary

Abiologics, Inc. is seeking a Lab Operations Specialist, Chemistry to drive operational excellence across chemistry, biology, and automation in our Synteins discovery effort.

You will help accelerate candidate progression from concept to experiment by shaping laboratory infrastructure and workflows, while maintaining instrumentation and inventory in a fast-paced research setting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with experience managing inventories,

Qualifications

• BS or MS in chemistry, chemical engineering, or biochemistry with 4+ years in biotech or academic labs.
• Experience maintaining laboratory instrumentation and general laboratory operations.
• Experience managing laboratory inventory systems and compound/sample management.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; able to work across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate daily with chemists, biologists, protein engineers, automation scientists, and computational researchers to enable high-quality science.
• Plan instrument maintenance, upgrades, and repairs (HPLC-MS, high‑resolution mass spectrometers, peptide synthesizers, biolayer interferometry, etc.).
• Oversee waste disposal and ensure compliance with laboratory safety and environmental regulations.
• Identify opportunities to streamline laboratory workflows through process improvements, automation, and adoption of new technologies.
