Job summary

Abiologics, Inc. is seeking a Lab Operations Specialist, Chemistry to enable operational excellence of lab workflows across chemistry, biology, and automation.

The role accelerates concept-to-experiment progress and helps shape infrastructure in a growing biotech company. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with experience in inventory management, instrument maintenance, and coordinating logistics in fast-paced research environments.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in chemistry, chemical engineering, or biochemistry with 4+ years in biotech or research labs.
• Experience maintaining laboratory instrumentation and general lab operations.
• Experience managing inventory systems for compounds and samples.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory or LIMS systems.
• Excellent communication and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with chemists, biologists, and automation scientists to support high‑quality science.
• Plan instrument maintenance, upgrades, and repairs (HPLC-MS, mass spectrometers, peptide synthesizers).
• Oversee waste disposal and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Develop systems to access compounds, reagents, and research materials.
• Maintain digital records for sample traceability and reproducibility.
• Perform periodic inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
