Job summary

Dispatch Bio is seeking a Director of IT and Business Enablement to own the IT and digital function end-to-end, partnering with scientific, clinical, regulatory, quality, and finance leaders. You will lead MSPs and key partners, shaping enterprise applications strategy and data governance in a biotech setting.

The role requires a hands-on leadership approach, a strong background in GxP and CSV, and experience deploying cloud-based, scalable IT solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
10+ years IT experience, 3+ years in biotech/pharma, ideally clinical stage.
Working knowledge of GxP and GCP for electronic systems, including CSV, 21 CFR Part 11, and ALCOA+ data integrity.
Experience managing MSPs and third-party IT vendors with SLA accountability and governance.
Strong knowledge of enterprise software evaluation, deployment, and management (HRIS, ERP, LIMS, quality systems, collaboration tools).
Hands-on experience enabling cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure) for scientific users, with cost governance and self-service models.
Familiarity with data governance, data privacy, and information security in regulated biotech/pharma contexts.
Experience with AI tools/platforms and integrating them into enterprise processes.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management; capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Ability to travel ~25% to SF office.

Responsibilities

Own and manage company-wide applications roadmap and scalable architecture for clinical development and beyond.
Lead evaluation, selection, deployment of enterprise applications with change management and governance process.
Oversee information security posture via MSPs and providers; establish core security foundations (SSO, MFA, joiner/mover/leaver, endpoint protection, DR).
Design and govern data architecture, access controls, and lifecycle management for clinical-stage operations; ensure CSV and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
Act as technical owner for due diligence, audits, and documentation for partner inspections.
Serve as primary IT liaison with MSP and vendors; manage budgets and drive continuous improvement across offices.
Set AI architecture and guardrails; guide AI integration with existing tech stack.
Travel about 25% to SF, and collaborate with scientific, clinical, regulatory, quality, and finance leaders.
