Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP, a national law firm, seeks an Intellectual Property Senior Associate or Senior Counsel with a minimum of six years of experience. The position supports the Healthcare, Life Sciences & Education business unit and may be based in any office or our virtual office, The Link.

The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Biotechnology or related field and be registered with the USPTO, with experience in patent prosecution, portfolio management, licensing, and due diligence for M&A.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six years of experience in intellectual property law.
• Registered with the USPTO or commit to obtaining licensure as soon as possible.
• Ph.D. in Biotechnology or related field preferred.
• Active bar license in the state of the office you apply to, or commitment to obtain it soon.

Responsibilities

• Handle global patent prosecution and portfolio management.
• Conduct freedom-to-operate analyses and patent clearance.
• Lead licensing and other technology transactions.
• Perform due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
