Qualifications

• Six years+ of experience in intellectual property law, preferably in biotech
• USPTO registration is required
• PhD in Biotechnology, Biotechnology Engineering, or related field is preferred
• Experience in global patent prosecution and portfolio management
• Experience with freedom-to-operate and patent clearance
• Licensing and technology transactions experience
• Due diligence related to mergers and acquisitions

Responsibilities

• Handle global patent prosecution and portfolio management for biotech clients
• Provide freedom-to-operate and patent clearance analysis
• Negotiate and manage licensing and technology transactions
• Conduct due diligence for mergers and acquisitions in life sciences
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams while handling multiple matters
