Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP, a national law firm with offices across the United States, invites applications for an Intellectual Property Senior Associate or Senior Counsel. A minimum of six years' experience is preferred.

The ideal candidate will be USPTO-registered and hold a Ph.D. in Biotechnology or a related field, with experience in global patent prosecution, portfolio management, and technology transactions. The role may be based in any office or via our virtual office The Link.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six years of experience preferred.
• USPTO-registered or willing to register.
• Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biotechnology Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with global patent prosecution and portfolio management.
• Experience with freedom to operate, patent clearance, licensing, and due diligence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Healthcare, Life Sciences & Education teams on patent strategy.
• Manage global patent prosecution and portfolio development.
• Assist with licensing, technology transactions and due diligence for M&A.
• Provide strategic legal guidance and risk assessment to clients.
