Job summary

Keros Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead the FP&A function and serve as a trusted advisor to leadership. The role ensures alignment of operational goals with financial plans, tracks financial trajectory, and recommends actions to improve performance.

The position focuses on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic planning across programs, with collaboration across leadership and functional teams to drive value and funding

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of progressive finance experience in a biopharmaceutical or biotechnology organization.
• Strong background in clinical-stage biotechnology, CRO/CMO contracts, clinical accruals and R&D pipeline.
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated business impact in leadership roles.
• Expertise using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with financial planning systems selection and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with financial and program leadership to compile and analyze financial plans linked to functional, program, and corporate goals.
• Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
• Lead monthly budget-to-actual variances and trending analysis.
• Prepare management commentary on operational results comparing budgets, forecasts, and actual spend.
• Proactively recommend actions to align spend with targets.
• Prepare regular summaries of financial results to functional and program management.
• Educate client groups on financial policies to ensure compliance.
• Ensure visibility and ownership of financial plans across functions.
• Lead selection and implementation of a corporate planning tool complementary to ERP.
