Job summary

Formulatrix, a leading provider of protein crystallization automation, seeks a field engineer to join our North American support team. You will troubleshoot high-end biotech automation equipment, fix customer issues, and travel up to 60% to installations and service across the US and possibly Canada.

You will report to the North American Support Manager, collaborate with engineers, and contribute feedback to product managers and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field service, application engineering, or technical support experience.
• Affinity for fixing things and strong interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable with computers, networking, and basic IT tasks.
• Experience with robotics, software, microfluidics, or optics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• On-site installations and maintenance of lab equipment on the east coast and beyond as needed.
• Customer training and support via phone, email, or remote access tools.
• Up to 60% overnight travel within the US/Canada.
• Record customer interactions and issues in the CRM.
• Provide detailed notes of on-site support work and follow up with teams.
