You will oversee the GL team, ensure strong internal controls, and drive scalable processes for a growing public biotech company. The role demands hands‑on leadership in CRO, CMC, clinical development accounting, and ERP optimization, with close collaboration with FP&A and external auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
• 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience in biotech or life sciences.
• Strong background in R&D accounting, CROs, clinical trials, CMC/manufacturing, and complex vendor contracts.
• Extensive experience leading general ledger accounting and monthly close.
• Strong ERP and financial systems experience to drive process improvements.
• Experience leading external audits and SOX readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead core accounting operations including close processes and GL functions.
• Manage GL team across R&D and G&A accounting.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close calendars and reporting.
• Drive SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit readiness.
• Oversee CRO accrual software implementation and ERP configuration.
• Partner with FP&A to support external reporting and SEC disclosures.
